Bell Tent Village @ Orana Campsite


Want to spend quality family time together this summer season?

We have 4 new Bell Tents for your family and friends camping experience this summer! 

WHEN:  Every weekend and school holiday between Hobart show weekend and the April school holidays. 

$180 for two nights or stay all week for $360, sleeping up to a family of 4. 

 

Important Booking Information:

  • Arrive on site after 2 pm
  • There will be no one to greet you on arrival, everything you need to know will be provided in your welcome pack, located inside your tent.
  • The tents are not allocated to a certain families please choose a tent that is appropriate for your family.
  •  Your family will be left to create their own fun during your bell tent village experience.
  • Shiloh (the hut) hosts a small kitchenette with microwave, kettle, sink and fridge. However, there are no cooking facilities. (you may bring your own gas BBQ)
  • Or a list of restaurants and takeaway options are provided in your welcome pack.
  • We ask that you respect other users of the Orana Campsite and use only your designated area of the campsite.
  • GGT would like to remind you that the camping area is in a natural setting, please be aware of trip hazards on the ground such as tree stumps, rabbit holes, twigs, and branches.
  • Family games will be available in Shiloh for bell tent campers.
  • All noise must be at a minimum between 10pm and 6pm, we have a Caretaker that lives on site. 
  • We expect all campers to be off-site by 10 am on the day of departure. If you choose to use the beach or the hiking tracks after 10am you can leave your car parked at Orana.

Terms and Conditions: We are a Family and Girl Guide Site!

  • NO Adult Only Bookings.
  • NO pets permitted at any time.
  • This is a bush campsite, be respectful to wildlife.
  • FULL payment is required at the time of booking online.
  • Use the Campsite only between the entry date and the exit date specified on your booking.
  • Respect other campers and Bell Tent Village users.
  • Comply with all directions given regarding the use of the campsite.
  • Campers must not let anyone else use the campsite in any manner other than for the activities specified.
  • Respect other campsite users and respect out of bound areas. (Out of bound areas are other people camps including other indoor accommodation) 
  • We ask for quiet between 10pm – 6am (If these rules are being broken guests will be asked to leave the site immediately)
  • Be considerate and don’t participate in anything which may cause a nuisance, damage, interference, or disturbance to any other person using any other parts of the campsite.
  • DO NOT use any sound-producing equipment at a volume that can be heard by other campers on the campsite.
  • There must be 1 responsible adult staying in the bell tent who is over the age of 21 years.
  • NO fireworks.
  • NO fire’s allowed unless in designated areas. Campers must follow Tas fire recommendations regarding fire alerts and restrictions.
  • Smoking, vaping, alcohol, and drugs are strictly prohibited. (If these rules are being broken guests will be asked to leave the site immediately)
  • Girl Guides Tasmania is not responsible for any damage or theft of personal belongings, so please do not leave any valuables inside/outside your Bell Tents if you go offsite.
  • Only firewood provided onsite on the ground can be burned on the campfire.
  • Please use rubbish bin provided.

Orana Campsite has a live in onsite caretaker.

Please note: each registration is for a maximum of 4 attendees per Bell Tent. No all adult groups allowed

Members:

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR EVENTS RUN BY GIRL GUIDES TASMANIA

  • If the event is cancelled by Girl Guides Tasmania, a full refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event at least one month prior to the closing date for applications, a 90% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event less than one month before the closing date for applications, a 50% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event after the closing date for applications, no refund will be given.
