Who are the Leaders?
Leaders are carefully chosen women volunteers who understand and care about the particular needs of girls, and enjoy sharing their time and talents to help girls grow and learn. All Leaders attend regular training courses to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to carry out their roles. Leaders come from all walks of life, and all family and working situations, and work in a team coordinated by the District Manager.
All Adult members are bound to a
Code of Conduct and all Girl Guides Tasmania Leaders complete a Keeping Children Safe orientation in relation to policies and procedures regarding the protection of children from abuse.
Girl Guides Tasmania Leaders also agree to a National Police Certificate check by Tasmania Police.
