Adventure Day Camp at Orana

Looking for EXCITEMENT this school holidays?

Come and join us at Embers Adventure Camp, Roches Beach!

For all boys and girls aged 7-12, come and meet new friends, learn new skills, and take on new adventures!

Location: 146 Roches Beach, Roches Beach, 7170

Date: Thursday 5/10/2023, Friday 6/10/2023

            Tuesday 10/10/2023, Wednesday 11/10/2023   

Time: 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

Cost: $77pp per day 

What to bring: Clothes that can get dirty, enclosed sturdy shoes, water bottle, sun hat, warm jumper or jacket, packed lunch and afternoon tea, change of dry clothes for water activities, water shoes (enclosed, no thongs or crocs or Gum Boots), towel.

Activities may include: Raft building, kayaking, sailing, crystal maze, hut building, colour obstacle run, archery, pioneering, abseiling and rock climbing.

  • 8:30 am: Welcome to Site & Ice Breaker Games

  • 1.30pm: Activity
  • 2:30 pm: Afternoon tea BYO, onsite activities

    How to register

    Members:

    Log in below as the Girl Guide member attending the event, then click the orange 'Register Myself' button below and select your registration option.
    - You will be presented with a series of additional questions. Please save after answering. Save if you make any changes.
    (Optional) You can register siblings for the same day or if attending on Wednesday you can choose to add Archery via the Program section
    - For payment, click the orange 'Proceed to checkout' button at the bottom of this page to pay. Payment is required to secure your registration.

    Non Members:
    Create a new account below for the person attending the event, then click the orange 'Register Myself' button below, and select your registration option.
    - You will be presented with a series of additional questions. Please save after answering. Save if you make any changes.

    FAQS:

    Are there any pre camp forms I need to complete? 

    Yes, However these will be completed on the day at drop off. Please bring your medicare number.

    What if there is bad weather?

    Most activities won't be affected by the weather as long as you take all the items on the what to bring list (see above). If the adventure staff feel that the weather is adverse the activities can be shortened or staff may change the activity for another or move the activity indoors. If you are worried about the weather conditions please call us on (03) 6244 4408 or 0474060336.

    What if I can't swim?

    All water activities will be run by qualified staff. You won't need to be able to swim to take part. Participants will always wear a buoyancy aid or life jacket for all water activities. If you think you need extra assistance, please let us know

    What if I have a medical condition?

    Please communicate this to the senior adventure staff on the day. Your adventure staff member will be made aware of any medical conditions and that you have and any medication you may require. If you require extra assistance please advise us in advance so we can make provisions prior to your arrival.

    What if we are running late?

    The Activities will start at the time indicated. However, if you are late to drop off the participants can join in all activities whenever they arrive.

    We ask that you collect your child at the finish time of 3pm. Please contact us on 0474060336 if you are running more then 15 min late. Any parents collecting children after 3.30pm will incur a charge of $5 for every 5 minutes over

    Can I bring technology?

    Yes. However, GGT takes no responsibility for lost or damaged technology and we advise that you keep it in your bag during the day.

    CANCELLATION POLICY FOR EVENTS RUN BY GIRL GUIDES TASMANIA

    • If the event is cancelled by Girl Guides Tasmania, a full refund will be given.
    • If you withdraw from the event at least one month prior to the closing date for applications, a 90% refund will be given.
    • If you withdraw from the event less than one month before the closing date for applications, a 50% refund will be given.
    • If you withdraw from the event after the closing date for applications, no refund will be given.
